Her teaching skills were used to bring up six wonderful children, and the generations of grandchildren and great grandchildren that followed. She loved being a part of her local community for which she was an untiring supporter by volunteering for the Fergus Fall Fair, Meals on Wheels, The Elora Festival, Wellington Terrace, many 4-H homemaking clubs, and canvassing for charities. She was also active in the Ennotville Women’s Institute, Elora United Church Couples (Friendship) Club and the Elora UCW. Viola cherished family gatherings that included her delicious food, followed by games of euchre, crokinole and a “second” dessert. A private family graveside service will be held. The family would like to thank the team at Heritage River for their compassionate care. Donations in Viola’s memory may be made to Groves Memorial Community Hospital, the Elora United Church, or the charity of your choice. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
