It is with profound sadness we announce the death of Carole Guindon, daughter of Jacques and Rita Guindon of Opasatika. She passed away at the age of 65 years, and will be greatly missed by her husband, Fern Paquette; her daughters: Josée Gendron (Dominique), Sara Virgo (Marc), and Sophie Champagne (Michel Carrière); her step-daughters: Crystal Ward (Ryan), Paul Linton (Kim), and Diane Paquette-Moss (Glen); five brothers: Jean-Louis of Longlac, Lionel of Orléans, Normand of Harty, Paul, and Donald Guindon all of Opasatika; seven sisters: Mariette Guindon of Beloeil, Réjeanne Picard of Laval, Louise Paradis of Opasatika, Lise Guindon of Tumble Ridge, Alberta, Diane Guindon of Marathon, Francine Gratton of Hearst and Aline Guindon of Kapuskasing; as well as eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Carole was very kind hearted and a close relationship with God. Rest in peace Calou. Carole will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 18th at Immaculée-Conception church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. Spring burial will be held at the Opasatika Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Rainy River Hospital (Riverside Foundation for Health Care) would be greatly appreciated. ©
