After a courageous battle, Don Ewald, 57 of Barwick, Ontario passed away with his family by his side at the Emo Hospital, on Wednesday March 2, 2016. Don was born on February 18, 1959 in Prince Rupert, British Columbia to Jack and Verna Ewald. He was united in marriage to Carol Bragg on November 26, 1982. Don worked for the Carpenters Union #1669 for 30 years. He loved woodworking and carving. Don enjoyed hunting, icefishing, camping and spending time at "the farm" with his family and friends. Those who knew Don well loved him. Don will be greatly missed by his wife Carol, his daughters Jessika (Brian) Smith and Myca Ewald. Grandchildren Alexis, Anthony, Michaela and Hunter. Father in law Norbert (Jean) Bragg. His brothers Darcy(Carol) Ewald and David(Linda) Ewald. Brother in laws George Bragg, Don(Jo) Bragg, Charlie Bragg, Murray(Jeanette) Bragg, Larry Bragg, Irwin(Elaine) Hughes and sister in laws Iris(Ken) Shute and Melanie(Scott) Bragg and numerous neices and nephews. His Honourary Brother and Sister Cliff and Cheryl Hagen. Don was predeceased by his parents Jack and Verna Ewald, brother Daniel Ewald, Mother in law Irene Bragg, brother in law Norman Shute, sister in law Sheila Devlin. A time of fellowship was held on Sunday March 6, 2016 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. from the Emo Royal Canadian Legion.
