Dorothy passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Rainy River Health Centre. Dorothy was born on February 15, 1924 in Spohn Township to the late Ludvig & Clara Johnson. On May 10, 1947, Dorothy was united in marriage to Art Anderson. They lived in Spohn until moving to Bergland in July 1959. She was predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers (George Johnson, Lawrence Johnson, Hjalmer Johnson), 3 sisters (Margaret Sletmoen, Alma Johanson, Ethel Sletmoen), daughter-in-law Diane Anderson, son-in-law John Daoust, 3 sisters-in-law (Agnes Kivi, Rose Johnson, Sally Nagy) and her husband of 58 years, Art Anderson. Life was never the same for Mom after Dad passed away in 2005. Dorothy is survived by daughters Ellen Gaudry & Tanya Daoust (Adrian), sons John & Glenn (Peggy), son-in-law Daryl Gaudry, 9 grandchildren: Darren & John Paul Daoust, Justin & Jeremy (Kari) Gaudry, Amy (Matt) Ashworth, Dylan Anderson, Meagan (Andrew), Daniel & Paige Anderson, 6 great grandchildren: Cody & Aiden Daoust, Tanner & Mackena Gaudry, Diana & Charlie Ashworth, sister-in-law Maggie Anderson, and several nieces and nephews: including Esther Smith & Judy Kingerski, both of whom she loved as daughters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 30, 2013 at 1pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bergland with Northridge Funeral Home in charge of arrangements and Carolyn Kreger officiating. Pallbearers will be Grandma Dorothy’s 6 grandsons: Darren Daoust, Justin Gaudry, John Paul Daoust, Jeremy Gaudry, Dylan Anderson & Daniel Anderson. Interment will take place in Bergland Cemetery at a later date.
