Hilding Ronmark Obituary

Hilding Swen Ronmark Husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. Hilding Ronmark passed away peacefully at rainycrest in Fort Frances on November 27, 2018 Hilding was born on July 26, 1942 to Gertrude and George Ronmark in Fort Frances Ontario He met the love of his life, Lucy Badiuk and they were united in marriage on November 25, 1961. They had 2 children together, Carol and Troy. They did everything together as a family. Hilding was born and raised in Fort Frances and spent most of his life there other than a few years in Atikokan, Ignace, Sparwood BC and Winnipeg where he was a miner and a baker. He spent most of his career as a baker at the local Safeway. Hilding loved crusing on Rainy Lake in his boat which he named "Lucy" (because she paid for the boat). Hildings motto was "if you are going to do a job, do it right" an example of this was when he dismantled and hand cleaned every part of his 1970 skiroule (on Lucy's kitchen table) Hilding also loved his yearly trip to fortune bay where he was surrounded by family and friends from Fort Frances and Minnesota. He was sure he knew which were the "hot machines" but usually only came home with a belly full of free coffee and fun memories. When Hilding became a grandfather to Asia, he was so excited and proud. Even though Asia lived in Calgary, Hilding made the most of their time together. Hilding and Lucy looked forward to and enjoyed the trips they took to Calgary to visit. Hilding will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Carol(Zeke), son Troy (Liane) and granddaughter Asia. Hilding is survived by brother Gary (Carmella), sisters in law Olga, Roylene and numerous nieces and nephews including Patty, Kim, Tracy, Brad, Billy, Michael, Johnny, kathy, Ann, Barry, Tina, Patty, Julie and Brent. Hilding was predeceased by his wife Lucy, parents Gertrude and George, sisters Silvia, Margaret, Helen, Doreen, brother Alfred, brothers in law Larry, Bill, Steve, Al and sister in law Irene. Hilding will always be remembered as a kind man who always had a smile on his face. He is now sitting on his porch in heaven smoking and drinking coffee with Lucy. Cheers Hilding. As per Hildings wishes, no service will be held and cremation has taken place.
