Jake In memory of a Great Man, father, Friend and Brother. John William George Scott Jake passed away peacefully on October 9, 2014 at the La Verendrye Hospital, Fort Frances at the age of 73. Jake was born February 25, 1941 in Dobie Twp, Rainy River District. Jake was predeceased by his parents John and Agnes, his brothers Donald, Jim, and Sandy, his sister Bernice, his infant daughter Teara as well as his infant grandchildren Shauna, Justin and Cameron. Jake is survived by his daughters Sandy, Jackie, Deana, Cara and Jean and Dan who he considered a son as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Ruth, Clara, Alex, and Ann as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his cat Dolly. A Celebration of Jake’s life will be held on Saturday October 18, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at the Barwick Community Hall. Pall Bearers will be Dan, Ralph, Dave, Virgil, Melvin, and Reggie. Honourary Pall Bearers will be his grandsons Brian, Michael, Brandon, Skyeler, Forrest, John and Jonathon.
