Peacefully with her family by her side, Joy Bourre, age 97, of Rainy River, Ontario, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at LaVerendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ontario. Mom grew up in Kenora, with 8 brothers and 2 sisters. After graduating from high school she went on to complete Normal School and became a teacher. Her first teaching assignment was in Gameland, at a one-room school house. She spent her entire career teaching in the Rainy River District. Mom was a respected member of the Knox United Church, Rebecca Lodge, Bridge club, and the curling club. Her passion for knowledge/education was her life line. We love and will miss you Mom.
