Lawrence Loney Obituary

Lawrence Delmar Loney of Emo, Ontario passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at the age of 80 years, reunited with his best friend and lifelong love, Gloria. He leaves to cherish his memory his son David of Edmonton, Alberta, his daughter Lisa (Brennin Chamberlin) of Emo, his sister Judy (Fred) Klug and Brothers Dave (Janet) and William (Julie) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. He was predeceased by his wife Gloria Olive Gustafson Loney on September 27, 1998 and by his parents, Lawrence and Grace Loney. Larry was born on September 17, 1934 in Emo, Ontario and on September 19, 1958 he married Gloria Gustafson. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba in 1959. The majority of his working life was spent as manager of Western Co-op Fertilizers and in the position of Safety Advisor for Canadian fertilizers limited in Medicine Hat, Alberta. In May of 1997 he retired to spend more time with his spouse and family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of the Toronto Blue Jays, crossword puzzles, and chocolate. The funeral service will be held in the Emo Knox United Church on Friday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Frances Flook officiating.
