From a young age he was an avid hockey player, from minor hockey through to the Oldtimers, including playing Junior A. Paul’s most memorable achievements were participating in the Canadian Oldtimers Hockey Association World Cup in Toronto in 1982 and the Aloha Cup in 1984 in Hawaii. Paul loved to hunt and fish and made many lifelong friends. Paul was a member of Elks Lodge #313 and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29. On December 31, 2001 Paul was united in marriage to Joyce Fagerdahl who survives him, along with his son, Billy-Jo and his children Colton, Skye, Danika and Austin; his daughter Sharlene and her daughter Tianna; his sister Julie (Brian) Lowry and their children Tyler (Amy) and Shawn (Melanie); and sister-in-law Maria Langenfurth.
