Late Phyllis Helen Angus
Sadly the family announces the passing of Phyllis Angus, 93 of Emo and formerly of Chapple Twp on Tuesday September 27, 2016 at the Emo Hospital with her family by her side.
Phyllis was born in Solsgirth, MB on December 14, 1922 to Algernon and Lily Judson. She was united in marriage to Wesley Angus on June 30, 1947.
Phyllis loved to read –Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Mazo de la Roche, and history; do cryptic crosswords, gardening, photography, and snowshoeing. Most of all she loved when friends or family stopped in for coffee and a chat.
Phyllis was a member of the Chapple Women’s Institute for many years.
Phyllis is survived by her sister Jessica (Al) Stewart, daughter in law Connie Angus, her grandchildren Christa Angus, Wesley Angus, Jack Angus and greatgrandchild Waylon White, Whitecourt, AB.: daughter in law Brenda Angus, and grandchildren, April Cormack (Darren Blattner) Emo, ON, and Bonnie (Scott) Abraham Wabigoon, ON, Allan Cormack Victoria, BC. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Wesley (1983), her son Jerrold (2015) her siblings Vi (Bert Strachan), Henry (Aileen Grant), Linton (Marion Kivel), Laurie (Dorothy Mason), Jack (Lois Cain), Elsie (Cliff Wilson).
Honorary pallbearers are Jonathan and James Blattner, Charles and Christopher Abraham, Wesley and Jack Angus.
A time of fellowship will on Saturday October 1, 2016 from 1-3 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home Emo, Ontario. Interment will take place in Barwick Cemetery at a later date.
