Biiyan of the duck clan left for the Spirit world in the early morning hours of Sunday March 1, 2015 at the Health Science Centre in Winnipeg, MB. He was born on July 9, 1945 in Rainy River, Ont to James Comegan and Laura Adams. In his younger days he was never a guide, but an avid commercial fisherman and trapper and more importantly in his spare time, a home run king in fastball. His leisure time was spent watching western movies. Stanley leaves to mourn his passing, his brothers Albert, James Jr, and Noel, his sisters Agnes, Marie, Elizabeth, Bernadine, Brenda, Audrey, and Rhonda and many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention as well as many grandchildren.. He was predeceased by his father James Sr, and mother Laura Adams, his brothers Ronnie, Larry, sisters Sharon, Debra, Starr and nephew Garnet. A traditional wake will be held on Wednesday March 4, 2015 from 4 p.m. at the Big Grassy First Nation Community Hall, followed by a traditional service on Thursday March 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. with Elder Gilbert Smith officiating. Interment will take place in Big Grassy First Nation Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Albert George, Sean Comegan, Darnell Comegan, Mathew Comegan, Kari Comegan, and Danny Big George. Honourary Pall Bearers will be James Morrison, Leonard Morrison, Wesley Big George, Brian Major, Noel Comegan, Elvis Comegan, Doug Comegan, and James Catcheway.
