It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our son, father, brother and uncle Thomas Raymond Pollard on November 21, 2013 in Fort Frances, Ont. Tom was born in Sioux Lookout, Ont on Dec 6, 1963 to Donald and Delores Pollard. The family moved to Fort Frances in 1978. Tom is survived by his mother Delores Pollard of Fort Frances, and his father Donald Pollard of Winnipeg, MB, his children Sabrina Miller and Matthew Vandrunen, his sisters Debra Elias of Fort Frances, Ont, Linda (Chris) Carmody of Emo, Ont and Nicole Pollard of Fort Frances, Ont. Tom is also survived by his nieces and nephews Fawn, Jennifer, Jesse, Terry, Jasmyn, Nolan and his special friend Denis Buckshot and family. Tom loved skidooing and fishing. He often enjoyed having family and friends over for barbeques. He had a great love for food and he enjoyed cooking. Some of his proudest moments were spending his time with his daughter Sabrina cooking together. They had a lot in common and enjoyed each others company. For the people that knew him best, he is often remembered for being a jokester. He loved pulling pranks and making jokes and often at someone else’s expense. He had a contagious laugh and we will all miss him. He had a lot of pride working for the Public Works in Fort Frances for over 20 years and he thrived on working hard. Tom’s door was always open and a willing hand was there for those who needed it. Cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at a later date.
