Anne was a retired legal secretary at Brown and Atkinson and a long-time employee with State of Israel Bonds. Dearly beloved wife of the late Harry Slota. Beloved daughter of the late Bill and Nettie Rakochy. Dear niece of Olga Kotyluk. Cousin and Godmother of George Rocoski and his wife Jane. Cousin of Peter and his wife Myrna Karpiuk, Debbie and her husband Roger Merkley, and Michael Palka. Predeceased by cousins Nellie and Cliff Frith and Effie and her husband Eddie Palka. Beloved aunt of the Slota family: Murray, his wife Marian, Sr. Theresa, Margaret, Eugene and their children. Dear aunt of Anna, Laura, Terry, Kelly, Bradley, Patrick and his wife Stephanie, and Christopher. The family would like to thank the staff at Etobicoke General Hospital, especially Dr Mohammad, Dr Daba, Nurse Maria, Nurse Cindy and the rest of the Critical Care Unit staff for their loving and compassionate care of Anne. Resting at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Panakhyda Tuesday 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy at St. Demetrius Church, 135 La Rose Avenue, on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.
