Ouderkirk, Ross Oliver After a lengthy illness, passed peacefully at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Saturday, February 20, 2021 just 18 days after his 75th birthday. Beloved father of Kenneth(Sandy Bailey) Ouderkirk of Oro-Medonte, Dwayne(Rhonda) Ouderkirk of Markdale, Lorilee(Robert Wilson) Ouderkirk of Orillia and Sherry(Andrew Allison) of Whitby. Loving grandfather of Stephen(Katie), Rebecca(John), Sarah(Mike), Brittany(Chris), Brett, Brady, Logan, Jordan (Kieren) and great grandfather of Paisleigh, Adelyn and two on the way. Dear brother of Gilbert(Linda) Ouderkirk of Severn Township and Gail(Paul) Morgan of Severn Township. Predeceased by his sister Donna Ouderkirk and parents Dalton and Lillie (Stephens) Ouderkirk. He will be lovingly remembered by Dawn Lindman of MacTier, Linda Morin of Whitby, Jay Decaire of Orillia and Gary Ransbury of MacTier. Ross was born in Sudbury. Later his parents moved from French River to Toronto where his father eventually started Dalt’s Honda in 1972 where Ross began his career. Ross met his first wife Dawn of Mactier and were married in 1966. Together they had 3 children, Ken, Dwayne and Lori-Lee. Ross was promoted and moved his family to Orillia in 1978 after his father opened a second Honda dealership where he held the position of Manager. During these years Ross was a part of the Dalt’s Honda race team. He loved racing and spent a lot of weekends at several tracks throughout Ontario and Quebec, He raced against drivers like Jacques Villeneuve in the Michelin Tire series. Ross would later in years decide to start his own property management business which very quickly became very successful with many long time customers. His customers knew with Ross, they were getting honesty and quality. He owned the business until he decided to retire and sold the business to one of his best employees. Later on Ross and Dawn would part and a few years later Ross met his second wife Linda Cramb. Together they had a daughter, Sherry. Ross loved the outdoors. One of his most favorite places to be was French River. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling and bonfires. He loved sitting around a big bonfire with family and friends. He was an avid train enthusiast and loved working with model railroad trains. Ross had a great passion and talent for music and enjoyed playing guitar and singing on stage but his favorite times of music were the times sitting around the kitchen playing music with family and friends. Raise your glass and toast to the memory of Ross Cheers Dad. You are already missed. Love you Cremation has taken place. Ross will be forever in his beloved French River, Ontario.
