Sheldon, Eleanor Phyllis [Ross] - It is with great sorrow that the family announces the death of Eleanor 'Tommy' Sheldon at the age of 97 years on Wednesday November 15, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents Tracey and Lillian Ross; her husband James Sheldon; her brother Garnet Ross and by her sisters Bess Leveille and Lois Brown. She is survived by her son James (Pauline); granddaughter Brandie McKenzie (Tony) of Chelmsford; grandson Evan (Melissa) of Haileybury; great-grandson James Sheldon; great-granddaughter Peyton Sheldon; sister-in-law Marj Ross of Lethbridge, Alberta as well as several nieces and nephews. Tommy and Jim married in 1940 and lived in Larder Lake until 2006 at which time they relocated to Haileybury. Tommy was well known in her early years for her love of sports and in later years for helping others and volunteering in her community. In keeping with Tommy's wishes, cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury and there will be no visitation or funeral services.
