Robert Nobes

Nobes, Robert James - With heavy hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Mr Robert James Nobes at the age of 77 years. Mr Nobes passed away at his home in Haileybury, Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Robert was born August 17, 1940 in Marmora, Ontario. He married the love of his life Marilynn Hermiston on October 6, 1962 and would have been married 56 years this fall. Robert had worked as an Instrumentation Technician until his retirement. He worked for Inco Falconbridge Sherman Mine as well as Bruce Power. He loved beekeeping and "puttering at the homestead". Robert faithfully served his Lord and Saviour and he touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be sadly missed. Survived by his loving and devoted wife Marilynn [Hermiston], brothers-in-law to Wayne Hermiston, Garry [Bernice] Hermiston and sister-in-law Joanne [late Bruce] Hermiston. Special uncle to Sherri (Brad) Virtue and Justin (Sandi) Nobes , Laurice [Jennifer] Hermiston, Rhondda [Paul] Austen, Dwight [Monica] Hermiston, Donna [Norman] Beaupré, Terry [Michelle] Hermiston. Great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harold James Nobes and Rita Patricia McFaul and by his brother John Nobes. The Nobes family welcomed friends at the Temiskaming Pentecostal Church, 583472 West Road, Haileybury, Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00pm and Monday, June 11, 2018 beginning at 9:00am. The funeral service followed at Temiskaming Pentecostal Church at 11:00am. Pastor Nicholas Kostyc officiated. Interment followed at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Haileybury.
