Father of Ronald and Mary Beth Gilbert of Harriston, and Kenneth and Twyla Gilbert of Elmira, and father-in-law of Lyle Reid of Belgrave. Grandfather of Krista and Cory Kuncio of Allentown, PA, Troy Gilbert of Harriston, Mike Reid of Barrie, Darryl Gilbert of Saguenay, QC, Adam Gilbert of Burlington, and Andrew Gilbert and Neramith Khamvongsa of Mississauga. Great-grandfather of Jason Reid of Barrie, and Kayden and Cameron Kuncio of Allentown, PA. Brother-in-law of Myrtle Gilbert of Palmerston, Rita Gilbert of Port Elgin, Margaret Church of Harriston, and Florene Sills of Durham. Predeceased by his daughter Debra Reid, brothers Les Gilbert, Paul Gilbert, and Roy Gilbert, sisters Margaret Stone and husband Jack, and Laura Gilbert, and by his parents William and Julia (Meyers) Gilbert. Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at Harriston Arena Auditorium.
