Goldora Simmons ~ formerly of Harriston, passed away at Royal Terrace, Palmerston on Friday, March 7, 2014 in her 96th year. Goldora was the wife of the late Robert Simmons, and mother of Roger Simmons and his wife Pat of Ingersoll, and Gary Simmons of Georgetown. Remembered by her grandchildren Lee Geertsen of Ingersoll, Dean and Ann Simmons of Ingersoll, Michael Simmons of Acton, and Paul and Michelle Simmons of Erin; by her great-grandchildren Kristin and Scott Greenfield, Kirk Moon and Katelyn Dawes, Nicole Geertsen, Alycia Simmons, Tiffany Simmons, Brandon Simmons, Paige Simmons, and Sierra Simmons; and by her great-great-grandchildren Avelee and Brett Greenfield. Sister-in-law of Shirley Dennis of Harriston and Francine Dennis of Smiths Falls. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Karen Simmons, and by sisters and brothers Della McGee, Myrtle Harper, Ruby Morgan, Romona Dick, Bernice Casemore, Beulah Dennis, Ernest Dennis, Stanley Dennis, Clayton Dennis, Russell Dennis, Earl Dennis, Raymond Dennis, Dunnevan Dennis, and Kenneth Dennis. Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Monday, March 10th for visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Jessica Cottrell officiating.
