Harry Bates of Innisfil passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine on Sunday, August 17, 2014 in his 85th year. Husband of the late Mary Bates. Father of Brian Bates and his wife Donna of Pickering, Donna Weller of Toronto, and Harvey Bates and his wife Sharon of Innisfil, and father-in-law of Patt Bates of Alberton, P.E.I. Grandfather of Christopher, Sean, Sharon, Joslyn, Brian, Jennifer, Sarah, and Kyle. Great-grandfather of Tyler, Leland, Mackenzie, Connor, Theodore, and Penelope. Brother of Tom, Jack, and Ralph Bates, and Betty Jones. Predeceased by his son Michael Bates, son-in-law Arthur Weller, granddaughter Lisa Bates, brothers Stewart, Gordon, and Fred Bates, and sisters Grace Bates, Jean Manser, and Evelyn Knapp. Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Wednesday, August 20th for visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
