James L. Whetham ~ at his home in Minto Township on Friday, September 26, 2008 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of Lois (Holliday) Whetham. Dear father and grandfather of Karen Whetham and her daughter Jordan of Barrie, Louanne Zettler and her husband Greg, and their children Luke and Bennett Zettler of R.R. 3, Mount Forest, and Kent Whetham and Lynn Garton of Palmerston, and Lynn’s family Ashley, Colin, Logan, and Carson. Brother of Della Ellis of Mount Forest, Mervin Whetham and Valerie of B.C., and Yvonne Weber and her husband Ron of Normanby Township. Brother-in-law of Ross MacDonald of Mount Forest. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Ruth McQueen and her husband Gordon, Iva MacDonald, Lyle Whetham and his wife Grace, Evelyn McCready and her husband Clarence, Roxy Grills and her husband Jim, and his brother-in-law Russell Ellis, as well as his infant siblings Lloyd and Viola, and baby brother. Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a Masonic Lodge memorial service being held at 7:00 p.m. A family service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, September 29th with Rev. Mel Sauer officiating. Interment in Cochrane Cemetery, Southgate Township. Memorial donations to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank or the Harriston Food Bank would be appreciated.
