Lois Rennie Obituary

Lois Rennie ~ of R.R. 1, Palmerston (Maryborough Township), passed away at Palmerston and District Hospital on Saturday, February 26, 2011 in her 80th year. Lois was the wife of the late Mervin Rennie who predeceased her on January 4, 2011, and mother of Carl Swanson and his wife Patricia of Guelph, Cathy Mehring and her partner Frank Grondin of Nakina, Tracy Saarinen and her husband George of Thunder Bay, and Marilyn Peters and her husband Bruce of Aurora. Remembered by her grandchildren Sonja Swanson, Adam Swanson, Jeff Mehring and his wife Jessica, Chrystal Mehring, Seija Saarinen, Kaija Saarinen, Charles Peters, Laurel Peters and Ethan Peters, and by her great-grandchildren Aylah Mehring and Matthew Mehring. Sister of Allan Nicholson of Palmerston, and Marian Sinclair of Harriston, and sister-in-law of Hilda Campbell of Kitchener, and Bernice Hebden of Guelph. Survived also by her nieces and nephews and their families, and by her many friends. She was predeceased by her sisters Margaret Allison and her husband William, and Myrtle Robinson and her husband Harold, by her brother Stewart Nicholson, and by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Robert Sinclair, Albert Campbell, Cecil Hebden, Betty and Howard Gateman, Louise Rennie, Joy Rennie, Helen and Walter Shantz, Arthur and Jean Rennie, Alvin Rennie, and Levi Rennie. Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 3rd at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mel Sauer officiating. Interment in Harriston Cemetery. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
