Marjory Shannon ~ passed away at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Harriston on Monday, March 12, 2012 in her 84th year. Marjory Isobel (Ziegler) Shannon was the wife of the late Chester Shannon, and mother of Mary Kaye Hudson and her husband Larry of Listowel, Margie Cox and her husband James of Cambridge, Murray Shannon and his partner Debbie Clark of Flesherton, Beth MacDonald and her husband Roger of Harriston, Cindy Richenback and her husband David of Harriston, and Jane Rea and her husband Greg of London. Remembered by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mildred and Harold Reid of Cambridge, Bernice and Willard Huehn of Hanover, Hazel McGuire of Mount Forest, Jack and Lil Ziegler of St. Thomas, and Cliff and Bonnie Ziegler of Kitchener; and sister-in-law of Blanche and Ray Ash of Stratford, Janet and Ed Cooney of Goulais River, and Shirley Dennis of Harriston. Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Margaret Ziegler. Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Wednesday, March 28th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a Legion Auxiliary memorial service being held at 6:45 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Harriston United Church on Thursday, March 29th at 1:30 p. m. Interment in Harriston Cemetery. Memorial donations to Hope Spring Cancer Support Centre, Kitchener, the Multi-transplant Unit at London Health Sciences Centre, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
