Troy McLaughlin ~ at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto on Monday, October 27th, 2014 at the age of 17. Troy was the son of Joe McLaughlin and Cindy McLaughlin (Lawrence) of Listowel, and Keith Brown and Johanna Lyell of Milton, and brother to Hayle and Ava. Loved by his grandparents William and Lenore Lawrence, John McLaughlin and Kim Nickel, and Barb McLaughlin all of Palmerston, and Barb and Tom Brown of Milton, and by his great-grandparents Eila McLaughlin of Harriston and Mary Gawel of Kitchener. He will be missed by his aunts and uncles Lisa and Steve Gibbons of Markdale, Russell and Jamie McLaughlin of Elmira, Rob and Josie McLaughlin of Palmerston, and Maggie McLaughlin and Mike Chambers of Ayton, as well as their families, and by his many friends. Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Harriston United Church on Monday, November 3rd at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to Brain Trauma Foundation or the Troy McLaughlin Sport Foundation ( to be established) would be appreciated.
