FLUKER, Vera – passed away peacefully at Royal Terrace, Palmerston on Friday, June 22, 2007 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late William E. Fluker and loving mother of Margaret Wenzel of Minto Township. Grandmother of Marilyn and Wayne Petrie of Miami, Manitoba, Sandra and Ray Gilmore of Harriston and Leroy Wenzel of Minto Township. Remembered by her great-grandchildren Christine and Dean Turnbull of Calgary, Kimberly and Gordon Deamel and Gregory and Kate Petrie, all of Carman, Manitoba, Scott Gilmore and his friend Michelle of Clifford, Tracey Gilmore and her friend Peter of Guelph and Angie Gilmore and her friend Norm of Sudbury and by her greatgreatgrandchildren, Emily, Kate, Grace and Lilly Petrie, Nolan and Brendan Turnbull, Jordan and Jolene Deamel and Emma and Michayla Gilmore. Predeceased by her son-in-law Olin Wenzel, her brother Bill Honeyford, her sisters Kathleen Oliver and Maggie Matheson and by her parents, William and Minnie (Doyle) Honeyford. Vera was born in Eyebrow, Saskatchewan and came to Ontario as a young child. Following the death of her mother, she was raised by Nancy and Tom McAvoy on a farm in Wallace Township. Vera and her husband William farmed in Minto Township until his death in 1983. Along with playing cards, gardening and doing puzzles, she loved her dog Foxie Lady. A family graveside service will be held on Palmerston Cemetery on Monday, June 25. Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday, July 13 for visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Jolene Deamel Medical Fund or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
