Mrs. Karen Massicotte (nee Godfrey)
November 18, 1947 – November 1, 2015
The family announces with sadness her death on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Anson General Hospital at the age of 67 years. Loving Wife of the Late Gaëtan Massicotte and Cherished Mother of Dana (Marty) Massicotte of Thunder Bay, Renée (Marcel) Massicotte of Iroquois Falls, Michelle (Dean) Chassie of King Kirkland, and Chantal (Ray) Martin of Niagara Falls. She will be forever remembered by her Grandchildren; Jonathan, Dominique, Brandon, Jocelyn, Gaëtan, Zackary, Justin and Samantha. Karen is also survived by her siblings; Garnett (Sue) Johnson of Smiths Falls, ON, William (Margaret) Godfrey of Ft. Nelson, B.C., and John (Esther) Godfrey of Chetwin, B.C. as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by; her Parents Lesley Godfrey and Dolores (Alec) Sobchuk, her Husband Gaëtan, her Brother Edward, and her Sister-in-law Annette.
A Celebration of her life will be held at Abitibi Funeral Services on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Father Léo Rancourt officiating.
