Amy Porter

The family announces with sorrow her peaceful passing, on Monday September 28, 2009 at the Anson General Hospital at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her husband Egbert Porter (1981). Loving Mother of Saunders (Sheena) Porter of Iroquois Falls, Larry (Donna) Porter of Iroquois Falls and the Late Eric “Ricky” Porter (2005). Loving grandmother of Kiera, Sheelagh, Stephen, Stuart, and Alyssa. Cherished great-grandmother of Sydney, Michael, Meadow, Summer, Sebastian, Santiago and Christian. Amy is survived by her sisters Cécile Boucher, Freda Grenier, Annette Denault, Rita (Laurier) Cournoyer, Dolly Denault, Thérèse (Romeo) Quevillion, and Myrtle Lavoie. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law Gretchen Porter, her sisters-in-law Alphonsine Mousseau, Rita Porter, Annette Porter, and Ariel Porter and her brother-in-law Ken Porter. She was predeceased by her. Husband Egbert (1981), her son Eric “Ricky” (2005), her grandson Kraig (2007), her parents Corunna & Gedeon Mousseau, her brother Alphege Mousseau, and her sisters Eleonora Roy, Rachell Toner and Lilly Proulx. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Abitibi Funeral Services (236 Cambridge Ave, Iroquois Falls). A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday October 1st, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Abitibi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Anson General Hospital Auxilliary, the Iroquois Falls Access Transit or to the Angels of the Kitchen and would be appreciated by the family.
