In Loving Memory of Mr. Eugene ‘Gene’ Belanger 1927 – 2017 The family announces with heavy hearts his passing on Wednesday, July 6, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Loving husband of the Late Gladys (nee Whelton). Cherished Father of: Allan (Louise) Eddy of Cochrane, Blaine (Susan) Eddy of Porquis, Gary (Suzanne) Belanger of Iroquois Falls, and Bonnie (Sandy Boyd) Belanger of Brantford. He will be forever in the hearts of his Grandchildren; Jake Eddy of Toronto, Leah Eddy of Sudbury, Tasha Eddy of Iroquois Falls, and Travis Eddy of Newcastle, ON, Sylvain Roy of Palmoral, PQ, and Nicole Roy of Palmoral, PQ and his Great Grandchildren; Chase, Severn, Riley, Alexandre, Maxime, Samuel and Livia. Gene is also survived by his sister Thérèse Bissonnette, and his sisters-in-law Laurence Belanger and Claire Belanger as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Gladys, his Parents, Joseph and Marie-Ange Belanger, his siblings; the Late Sylvio Belanger, the Late Marie (the Late Émile) Chouinard, the Late Cécile (the Late Roméo) Clouthier, the Late Lucien Belanger, the Late Baby Eugene Belanger, the Late Antonia (the Late Margoric) Goulet and the Late Roméo (the Late Lorraine) Belanger, as well as his brother-in-law the Late Fernand Bissonnette. Family and Friends may call at Abitibi Funeral Services Ltd. on Monday, July 10 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Parish with the Reverend Father Léo Rancourt presiding.
