Mr. Howard McMeekin 1924 -2014 It is with great sadness that the family announces his death at the South Centennial Manor on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the age of 89 years. Loving Husband and best friend of the Late Merceline and Cherished Father of Marvin (Vickie) of St. Catherines, the Late Michael (the Late Brenda) (Solange), the Late Milton (Helen), the Late Mark (Dianne), Miles (Wendy) of Wiarton, Marlene (Alvin) of Watson Lake, YT, Montgomery (Pat) of Port Elgin, ON, and Morgan (Sandy) of Bowmanville. Howard is also survived by his grandchildren; Andy, Lauren, Bobby-Lynn, Michael, Lora, Logan, Patrick, Erin, Sterling, Daniel, Rebekka, Sarah, Mary, Dale, Ian, Karissa, Kenton, Cailin, Joshua, Shelby, and Samantha as well as numerous Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Howard was predeceased by his Parents George and Ella Bella McMeekin, as well as his Children; Milton, Mark and Micheal McMeekin, his Grandson’s Blaine and Aaron, and his Daughter-In-Law Brenda. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Church, on Friday, April 4th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Melanie Kirk officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 70, and would be appreciated by the family.
