In Loving Memory of Mr. Laval Grenier 1944-2017 It is with great sadness that the family announces his death on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Anson General Hospital at the age of 72 years. Loving husband of Marguerite, and beloved father of Michel Grenier of Iroquois Falls, Alain (Natasha Joseph) Grenier of Iroquois Falls and Yvan (Brandy) Grenier of North Bay. He will be forever remembered by his Grandchildren; Kezmin Madden of Iroquois Falls, Michael Joseph of Long Lac, Ryan Grenier of Sudbury, Faith Seguin of North Bay, Preston Grenier of North Bay and Rylan Champagne also of North Bay. He was the brother of the late Fabien, Yolande (Hubert) Paquin of Hamilton, Gaetanne (the late Gordon) Cormier of Kitchener, the late Renald (Caroline) Grenier of Emvale, the late Marguerite (the late Jean) Lacoursiere, Wilfred (the late Jocelyne Lacroix) Grenier of Iroquois Falls, Henri (Trish) Grenier of Palmerston, the late Adelard (Lise) Grenier of Ottawa and Fernande (the late Gerry Belanger) (Ray) Poirier of New Liskeard. He was the brother-in-law of the late Aline (the late Gilles) Rodrigue, Simone (the late Louis) Lefebvre of Iroquois Falls, Lucie (Allan) Carroll of Iroquois Falls, Lucien (Eileen) Lachapelle of Iroquois Falls, Denis (Denise) Lachapelle of Iroquois Falls, Roland (Cecile) Lachapelle of Midland and the late Michel Lachapelle. He is also survived by his 4 legged companion Benji, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Laval was predeceased by his parents Fernand and Germaine Grenier. Family and Friends may call at Abitibi Funeral Services on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at paroisse Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens at 2:30 p.m. with the Reverend Father Léo Rancourt presiding. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Kidney Foundation (cheques only please) and would be appreciated by the family.
