In Loving Memory of Mark Patrick Olaveson April 27, 1985- April 13, 2019 Suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Health Science North Sudbury, at the age of 33 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Megan, and his two boys, Benjamin and Jonathan. He is also survived by his parents, Suzanne Bernier and Patrick Olaveson, as well as his in-laws, Bob and Jean Chenier, his sister-in-law, Louise (Paul) Chenier, and numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves behind countless friends including Mitch Chartier and Pierre Alie, and multiple other family members. Mark was a teacher at L’École Secondaire Alliance. He was a dedicated professional who loved his job. He wanted to inspire others to do better. He was well respected by colleagues and students alike, and his presence at the school will be greatly missed. Mark was also a dedicated and loving husband and father. He was married to his wife Megan for just shy of 15 years. He was a devoted father to Ben and Johnny and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed sharing stories about his family all the time. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Iroquois Falls Secondary School, Saturday April 20 from 12-1 pm for a memorial service in the Auditorium with a drop-in potluck from 1-4pm in the cafeteria. Come share stories of Mark and celebrate the life of a man that will be greatly missed in our community. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mark Olaveson Memorial Bursary (payable to École secondaire L'Alliance, cheques only please).
