In Loving Memory of Mrs. Sheena Porter (nee Howie) 1932 – 2015 The family announces with heavy hearts her passing on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Loving Wife of 47 years of Saunders, and Cherished Mother of; Sheelagh (Cruz Franco, MD) Porter of Mesa, AZ, Stephen (Claudia) Porter of Edinburgh, Scotland and Stuart (Shari) Porter of Toronto, ON. She will be forever in the hearts of her Grandchildren; Sydney, Michael, Sebastian, Santiago, Christian and Liam. Sheena also leaves her special friends Darla and Carly and their Son Isaac of Huddersfield, England as well as cousins, extended family and friends in Canada, Australia, England and Scotland. She was predeceased by her Parents Robert Howie and Elizabeth Pugh and her Step Father Charles Pugh. Sheena was a great community person involved over the years with the Abitibi Figure Skating Club, the Angels of the Kitchen, the CNIB Eye Van and the Lions Club. She was a billet for the Abitibi Minor Hockey Association for years and a quiet supporter of the Iroquois Falls Secondary School breakfast program. She has left behind many co-workers from the Anson General Hospital, South Centennial Manor and the Palliative Care team of Iroquois Falls. Family and Friends may call at Abitibi Funeral Services Ltd. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 1:00 p.m – 3:00 p.m., followed by a Prayer Service at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverend Dale Young.
