In loving memory of Mrs. Zita Chalmers (nee Campbell) 1943 - 2019 It is with great sorrow that the family announces her sudden passing at the Bingham Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the age of 75 years. She is survived by her husband of 53 years James Chalmers of Matheson. Beloved mother of Serene of England, David of Sudbury, and Donnie (Lyla) of Timmins. She was predeceased by her parents Donald  and Sophia Campbell Zita was born in Birmingham, England and came to Canada with her mother after the war. She grew up in Asbestos Quebec and  moved to Matheson with her family as a teenager. She worked for many years at Bingham Memorial Hospital in the medical records department. She was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church until it’s closing and then joined the parish of  St. Pauls in South Porcupine.  She enjoyed watercolour with her friends and volunteered with many local community groups over the years.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. There will be a Memorial Service conducted on Friday, June 21st at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, South Porcupine. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Paul’s Anglican Church and would be appreciated by the family.
