Schofield, Evelyn Irene (nee Henshw). On Saturday, February 18, 2012, while surrounded by family, Irene passed peacefully into the arms of her loving Saviour in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Ernest, Irene was the beloved mother of Robie of Vancouver, Ronald (Maryanne) of Nanaimo, BC., Vedna Anderson (Bobby Rose) of Oshawa, Daniel (Kathe) of Brantford, Glenda (Robert Wong) of St. Catharines, Bonnie (Weston Stanbridge) of Brooklin, Stephen of Ottawa, Ralph and Cecil both of Grand Prairie, AB., Joanne of Tillsonburg and the late Christine and David. Loving grandmother of 25 grandchildren, great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Born in Nova Scotia into a family of 14 children, she leaves behind 3 brothers Rodney, Earl and Warren and one younger sister Alice. Sisters Alma. Annie and Ida and brothers Joseph, George, Gordon, Sheldon, Paul and Richard all predeceasd their sister. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia. Irene made many visits back home to Nova Scotia where she was fondly known as Aunt Irene to many. Special thanks are extended to her niece, Frances Henshaw, for her loving prayers, phone calls and visits, which brought her joy in her later years. (E. of Sanford Ave.) on Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service for Irene will be held at Ryerson United Church on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment, White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
