PURDY, Alan Stotesbury October 17, 1920 – January 19, 2018 Alan Purdy passed peacefully at home in Renfrew, Ontario on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the age of 97. Alan was predeceased by his parents, William Arthur Purdy and Elsie Stotesbury Purdy, and his beloved wife Isabel. Alan is survived by his children Diana, Steven (Irina) and Robert, and his granddaughter Maia. Alan is also survived by an extended clan of his cousins’ descendants in the UK, and the Stotesbury-Kirby families in Canada. Alan is also survived by the Smith family. As per Alan’s wishes, private interment has taken place at Beechwood Cemetery. “Dad’s hold on Earth he lightly lost, and like a leaf he went away.”
