Edna Sophia Briscoe

Edna Sophia Briscoe (nee Blaedow) April 10, 1921 - April 12, 2018 Peacefully passed away in her 98th year on Thursday, April 12th, 2018 at Groves Park Lodge in Renfrew, Ontario. She was the beloved wife of the late William Briscoe. Loving mother of Don Briscoe , Judy Wainman, Sharron Berger , late Jean Resmer, Mark Briscoe and Eva Crozier. Dear Grandma to Bonny-Lynn Martin, Darwen Briscoe, Wade Briscoe, Todd Briscoe, Mervin Dupuis, Mark Dupuis, Janice Panke, Jeff Berger, Tim Resmer, Julie Acheson, Jenny Briscoe, Robert Briscoe, Sara Jeffery & Scott Jeffery. Proud great grandma to 14 great grand-children and 2 great-great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her siblings Genevia Mulligan, Gladys Fiebig, Don Blaedow, Earl Blaedow and Virginia Gauthier. Predeceased by her parents Dan and Mary Blaedow, her brothers Daniel, Lloyd, Stanley , Elmer and Harold and sisters Anne, Eleanor and Esther. A Celebration of Life will be held at Cobden Pentecostal Church on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1 p.m. Interment at Rosebank Cemetery in the spring. In Our Hearts to Stay It seems we're never quite prepared For a parent to pass on... It shakes our whole foundation That we've built our lives upon. Acceptance comes as time goes by, And the pain of loss subsides... But all the memories remain And we think on them with pride. Our parents give us self-esteem And help us to be strong... They build in us a lasting faith And teach us right from wrong. They raise us all to stand alone, To try our wings and fly... And as we come to "set them free" It's hard to say goodbye. So let us say, "We love you" As you travel on your way.... A part of you will still live on ... within our hearts stay.
