Henry Richard Christinck

Henry Christinck died in his 90th year on January 15, 2017. Beloved husband of Annelise, he is survived by his deeply loved children, Ralph (Debbi), Frank, Rosemary (Tim) and was the adoring Opa of Elisa, Thomas, Robert, Sam and Sarah. He leaves behind his sister, Christel, in Germany and was a special uncle to Martin Richter (Glenna) of California and Andreas Woellner (Donata) of Switzerland and their families. Also mourning his loss are his brothers-in-law, Herbert, Klaus (Valerie), Gerhard (Linda) and sister-in-law, Dorle. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas, and parents, Richard and Elsbeth and sister, Ruth. He was also predeceased recently by his brothers-in-law Bernie and Werner and sister-in-law, Inge. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and gentleness to his many nephews, nieces and friends. Born in Germany, he came to Canada and built a new life, helping create Gerber’s Nursery on Golden Lake. A special thanks to everyone at Caressant Care, Cobden, where he spent his final months and was cared for, loved and happy. A man of deep faith, he had the hope of eternal life in Heaven. In his memory the family has requested donations to the Gideons or Caressant Care Cobden. Visitation is at Zohr Family Funeral Home in Killaloe on Tuesday, January 17 from noon to 1:45 p.m. His funeral service follows at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Killaloe with internment immediately after at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Golden Lake. “For now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face.” 1 Cor 15:12
