JOSEPH RUSSELL LINDSAY BENOIT June 11, 1948 - March 26, 2015 Our Creator called Joseph home on March 26, 2015 at Tennisco Manor in Pikwàkanagàn where he was a resident for the past five years. Joseph was known to many as “Doc”. He was the son of the late Arthur & Maisie Benoit. Joseph’s older brother John, “Cody”, went before him on April 15, 2014. Joseph was the beloved father of Connie Antunes and Audra Benoit, both of Kitchener Ont. He was predeceased by his life partner Margaret Cooco in 1976. Left to miss him deeply are his siblings Glen (Val dec’d), Keith (Lorna Turner), Carole (Garry Kohoko), Dale (Osborne Zohr), Stanley (Helen Bernard) and Douglas. Joseph also leaves his five grandchildren Mathew, Eric, Christina, Kimberly and Kayla and one great granddaughter Ivy, along with numerous nephews and nieces and close friends to miss him. As per Joseph’s final wishes cremation has taken place. Our family chain is now missing two links. Our hearts are broken. We will miss you dearly every day. Visitation and a service to honour and remember Joseph’s life will take place at the Elder’s Hall in Pikwàkanagàn from 1-3 on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Following that he will be laid to rest with his parents and his brother in Nativity of Our Lady Cemetery, Pikwàkanagàn. “When tomorrow starts without me, do not weep for me, for I am with our loved ones, I am home. Know that I will miss you too. I have simply gone ahead.”
