HUME (nee Johnston), Ruby January 3, 1940 – November 13, 2019 Peacefully at home as she wished, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in her 80th year, our precious Mother, Ruby Carlann (nee Johnston) passed away. Predeceased by her husband Harold (2017). Loving mother to Steven (Deborah Groulx), Donald, Heather (Jamey) Larone, Colleen (Shane) Gibbons, Douglas (Joanne Charbonneau) and Anne Margaret (Kevin) Windle. Grandma Ruby to her three beloved granddaughters; Shaylene and Cassey Gibbons and Abigail Windle each of whom was an infinite source of joy to her. Dear sister of Garnet (Frances) Johnston and sister-in-law to Lois Johnston, Gwen Johnston and Margaret Carpenter. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Carl and Annie Johnston and siblings Forrest, Kenny, Ray, Leslie Mack and Stuart. Mom was Grandma Ruby to many other special children in her life and they will have many vivid memories of her. She enjoyed weekly card games for 50 years with her dear bridge ladies. Mom taught us the value of family, friendship and hard work. To say we will miss her is truly an understatement. Friends may visit from 2:00pm – 9:00pm on Thursday, November 21 at McPhail and Perkins Funeral Home, 85 Munroe Avenue E., Renfrew. A private funeral will be held for the immediate family.
