Smith, Arthur “Art” Handley, of Kincardine, passed away peacefully at Wingham & District Hospital, on Saturday, August 2, 2014, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Freda Smith (née Sawyer). Dear father of Steve (Judi) Smith, Karen Smith, all of Tottenham and Mike (Shari) Smith of Alliston and step-father of Dale Rock (Linda McQuillin) of RR#2 Holyrood, Catherine Rock of Richmond Hill and Suzanne (Mike) Craven of Kincardine. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Patrick, Brendan, Tyler, Ryan, Meagan, Ellen, Katie, Ross and Mark and great-grandchildren, Addison, Alyssa and Carmen. Loved brother of Adrienne (Richard) Washer of Hickory, North Carolina and Lorna (John) Towler of Kitchener. Visitation will be held at the Anglican Church of the Messiah, Kincardine, on Friday, August 15, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation or the Anglican Church of the Messiah would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
