Charles William “Charlie” Mann of Kincardine passed away peacefully, with family by his side at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine on Saturday, January 28th, 2017, in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late June Mann (née Popkin) who predeceased him in 2006. Dear father of Melodee Purpura (Peter) of Toronto and Marten Mann (Dianne) of Stratford. Missed by his grandchildren, Dianne Wiegand (Bernd), Carol Purpura, Terri Suboch (Andrew), Domonique Purpura, Marten Mann (Sarah) and Michael Mann (Stephanie), many great-grandchildren and nephew David Mann. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Florence (née Fox) Mann, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine (757 Princes Street) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Northern Light Masonic Lodge service at 7:00 p.m and Royal Canadian Legion Branch-183 service at 7:15 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Charlie’s life will be conducted from the Anglican Church of the Messiah, Kincardine (421 Russell Street) on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
