Dale Johnston

Johnston, Dale Allan, of Kincardine, passed away at Gateway Haven, Wiarton, on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Katrena-Karen Johnston (née Douglas) and the late Maggi Johnston (née Sly). Dear father of Teresa (Steve) Wilson and Nicole (Murray) Fletcher and step-father of Janice Dechene, Linda Graham and Cathy (Rob) Munro. Loved grandfather of Aimee, Samantha, Josh, Kurtis and Kassandra, Dan, Jon, Jason, Melissa, Ariana, Robyn and Jordan. Sadly missed by eight great-grandchildren. Cherished brother of Elwood (Kay) Johnston and Judy (Tino) Costa and brother-in-law of Hayward Green. Also sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Alicia, Craig, Tinazan, Issac, Kim, Sherry, Darren, Mark and Darrell. Predeceased by his parents Pat and Dorothy (née Paige) Johnston and his sister Jane Green. Dale was employed at Douglas Point since 1971, and worked for Bruce Power until 2006. Visitation will be held at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, on Monday, August 31, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 1, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Gary McNitt and Rev. Don Harry officiating. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, Friends of Gateway Haven or the Kincardine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
