William Donald “Don” Young, of Kincardine, at his residence, on Thursday, January 1, 2009 in his 80th year. Beloved father of Judy (Norm) Ross of Kincardine, Jim Young (Judy Vatcher) of London, Doug Young (Debbie Pearson) of Vancouver, and Ed (Nancy) Young of Whitby. Cherished grandfather of Mike (Sarah) Ross, Erin (Terry) Dietrich, Jaime Ross (Brian), Ashley Ross (Greg), Jeff (Gill) Young, Crystal Young (Josh), Dustin Young (Julie), Debbie Young, Kyle (Jacky) Young and Jeffrey Tanas and great-grandfather of Brayden, Meghan, Alanna, Logan and Gus. Sadly missed by his sisters, Helen (Bob) Farrell of Sarnia, Mary (John) Helm of Kitchener, Eleanor Small (Willie) of Hamilton, and Agnes Gillick of Kitchener and brothers, Gordon (Rita) of Thorndale and Ed (Mae) of Toronto. Predeceased by his brothers, John and Jim, and his brothers-in-law, Fred Lipskie, Glen Small and Joe Gillick. Visitation at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Dennis Cluley officiating. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kincardine Minor Hockey Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
