Dorothy May Coles (née Franklin) August 18, 1921 – August 17, 2013 Passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario with her loving children by her side. She was born in Claphan Common, England on August 18, 1921, married Ralph E. Coles in 1943 and immigrated to Canada as a war bride. She is survived by her children Linda Coles of Lindsay, ON, Sandy Smith (Pete LeSage) of Cambridge, ON, Terry (Kim) Coles of DeWinton, AB, Dayle (Bob) Waring of Hensall, ON, Kim (Ron) Falsetti of Oakville, ON; 8 grandchildren Blair (Liz), Marria (Chris), Josh (Colleen), Nathan (Azra), Jason (Joie), Gregory (Mara), Holly (Jordan), Dana (Lauren); and 12 great grandchildren Emily, Jett, Abbey, Bo, Seth, Lily, Charlotte, Annabelle, Alyssa, Aidan, Hailey and Kacie. Predeceased by her loving husband Ralph, 3 wonderful sons Grant, Wayne and Blair, and her faithful, furry companion Andy. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all that knew her. Dorothy (Mum/Nana) is resting at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, ON, N2Z 1Z5 519-396-2701. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with viewings on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kawartha Lakes Humane Society. Mum, we will remember you always and cherish our memories. A warm thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff on the 3rd floor at Ross Memorial Hospital – your kindness, love and care of our Mum is sincerely appreciated.
