Sarah “Ellen” Hammond (née Higgs), of Kincardine and formerly of Montreal, at Brucelea Haven, on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Hammond (1986). Dear sister of Jean (Gordon) Rodgers of Kincardine. Predeceased by her parents, James and Edith (Sittlington) Higgs, sisters, Rita Higgs and Lorna (Richard) Patterson, and her brothers, Herbert George and John Higgs. Also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Higgs of Montreal. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in Montreal in the spring of 2010.
