Eric Alvin Slade of R. R. #1 Ripley and formerly of Kincardine Township, passed away at University Hospital, London on Wednesday, July 12th, 2017, at age 68. Survived by his beloved wife Brenda McMullin, her children, Andrew McMullin and Laura McMullin, grandchildren Ashley, Erica and Stacy and 2 great-grandsons. Dear brother of Irwin Slade (Jane) of R.R. #5 Kincardine and Margaret Slade (Ian Morrissey) of Oshawa. Missed by his brothers-in-law Norm Poirier of R. R. #2 Tiverton and George MacMaster (Andrée) of Montreal. Fondly remembered by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, members of the Kincardine Lions Club and Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton. Predeceased by his parents Burton and Dorothy (née Irwin) Slade and sister Marilyn Poirier. A celebration of Eric’s life will take place at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, Tiverton on Sunday, August 20th, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Trillium Gift of Life, Kincardine Lions Club or the MS Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
