Born and raised in Windsor ON, Bebe realized her professional passion while attending St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Chatham. She continued her nursing career at Metropolitan Hospital in Windsor and Peel Hospital in Mississauga, specializing in Labour and Delivery. In 1970 she and her husband Jack retired to Grenada, West Indies. Bebe returned to Canada alone in 1983 after Jack’s death in 1975, living in Windsor to be close to her mother. In 1989, Bebe began her life in Port Elgin and has since lived in Tiverton and Kincardine.
Bebe will be remembered by all who met her for her caring demeanor, her sense of humour, quick wit, independence and love of birds and dogs. Please join Bebe’s family in honouring her life with your attendance and participation at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes St N, Kincardine, ON on Saturday April 1st 2017. There will be a short chapel service at 2:00 pm with small reception to follow. Due to severe allergies and sensitivities of family members, please refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes, and heavily scented toiletries.
At Bebe’s request, there will be a private interment of her ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John’s Ambulance Therapy Dog Program, Parkinson Society (Southwestern Ontario) or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Bon Voyage, Bebe. Your flight is no longer delayed and you are cleared to leave the departure lounge. Jack is waiting for you at your destination, just as you have been waiting for so very long to join him.
