Herd, Ida Winnifred (née Young), of Kincardine, passed away at Oakwood Park Lodge, Niagara Falls, on Monday, March 3, 2014 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Herd. Cherished mother of Keith Gurr (Linda Pidduck) of Fenwick. Loving grandmother of Doug Pidduck, Janelle Gurr, Erik (Stephanie) Gurr and great grandmother of Nolan, Kaiden and Payton. Sister of Joan (Bernard) Marsh of England. Predeceased by her son Frank Gurr. Survived by her daughter-in-law Carol Gurr of Kincardine. Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Anglican Church of the Messiah, Kincardine, on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to O.S.P.C.A., Nature Conservancy of Canada or the C.N.I.B. would be greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
