John Dickson Kincardine, Ontario Obituary

John Dickson

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of, John David Dickson, of Inverhuron, on October 10, 2017, at the age of 73. Loving partner of Beth Gillis. Cherished father of Tania, Kyla and her partner Russ O’Handley. Dad never had to tell us how proud he was or how much he loved us, it was seen in his sparkling eyes. Dad built our boats; he filled our sails. Missed dearly by step children Scott and his wife Jennifer, and Mark Biser. Loving Papa of Lily, Leah and Clare O’Handley. Logan, Avery, Payton and Tyler Biser. He was a devoted Papa who adored his grandchildren and cherished his time with them. Lovingly remembered by his sister Marlene and the late Glen Fitzsimmons. Special uncle to Julie and her husband Mark Ferguson. Also missed by Beth’s sister Donna and her husband Glen Usher. Predeceased by his parents Earl and Rebecca Dickson whom he continued to love deeply. He will be missed as an uncle and friend by a special extended family. Dad lived with optimism, gratitude and kindness. His family and friends will remember his positive attitude for which he always had something good to say about everyone. He believed in the good of people. Dad’s legacy of love and generosity will forever be with us. We invite you to join us in a Celebration of Life to honour him at Ainsdale Golf Course on Saturday, October 21 at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Kincardine & District would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. He would like knowing that your contribution made a child’s day just a little brighter. Arrangements entrusted to Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine.
