Sweeney, John Lawrence, of London at London Health Sciences Centre-Victoria Hospital, on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 in his 78th year. Companion to Isabel Morris. Dear father of John C. (Denise) Sweeney of Kincardine and Monica Reedy (Bruce) of Brampton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Christopher and Andrew Sweeney and Shannon Kennedy and his great-grandchildren, Ethan, Julian and Bram. Loved brother of Ilene Grant of Petrolia and brother-in-law of Fern Sweeney of Orangeville. Predeceased by his parents, John and Rhetta (Luck) Sweeney, his wife Helga Sweeney, brother George Sweeney and brother-in-law Bob Grant. A private family funeral service will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, on Saturday, December 13, with Rev. Susan Samuel officiating. Spring interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
