Joyce Leithead

Leithead, Joyce passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2008 with family at her side at the age of 84. Dearest wife & best friend of Danny for 66 years. Joyce was born in Kincardine on April 19, 1924 where she met and married Danny on September 19, 1942. Joyce lived most of her life in Oldcastle until a recent move to Iler Lodge in Essex. Loving mom to Dana (Sagar Giofu, 2002), Pete and Peggy Leithead, Cheryl and Dan Skilton, Laurie Anne (December 21, 1966). Dear Grandma to Lee-Anne (Wayne Curtis), Tara Leithead, Steve Giofu, Jennifer (Cody Heath), Danny Leithead (2001), Jackie Lariviere, Devon (Adam Sokoloski) and great grandma to Kevin and Eric Curtis, Taylor and Jacob Heath, Alexis Lariviere, Lucan Sokoloski. Joyce is predeceased by her parents Tressa and Dan Fyke, brothers, Don and Bill and will be remembered by her brother Lloyd (Joyce Fyke) and sister-in-law Velda Thompson. Many nieces and nephews survive. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 87 Maidstone Avenue East, Essex (519-776-4233) on Monday 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 11 am. Reverend Jane Fletcher officiating. Visitation will be held at Davey-Linklater funeral home in Kincardine on Tuesday from 7-9 pm where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating. Interment in Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations made to Association for Persons with Physical Disabilities (A.P.P.D.) in memory of Joyce would be appreciated by her family.
